Fun session last night, Freedom Trainstars.
Although missing Jay (and his digital uke-tuning LOL), the group made a great sound on:
* Dona Nobis - love it
* One Heart Beating - sorted out a new "short and sweet" arrangement - awesome opening solo from Carmel
* Thapelo - wow, this one from the Soweto Gospel Choir via Tony Backhouse is starting to blend soulfully now
* Nero's Expedition - bwah bwah bwah!! A lot of laughter playing with this jazzy round singing "doo-doos" and trumpety/tromboney "bwah-bwahs" on the middle verses.
* Morningtown Ride - the benefits of our special uke practise session at Celia's last Saturday were enjoyed on Morningtown Ride. It's really coming together beautifully. Sing out proud and strong on the solo verses, Marg!
Looking forward to FT's first performances of the year coming up at Live & Local Expo (19 Mar) and Mary's 80th Birthday Bash (2 April).
