Founded by professional singers Cath Mundy & Jay Turner in July 2008, Freedom Train continues to be conducted by Cath and to meet weekly during school terms on Monday evenings at Waterford’s Talbarra RSL Care.
Cath says, “The concert will feature some of the favourites we’ve enjoyed singing as a choir over the last five years, as well as some of our newer material. We love to put our own spin on pop classics, folk songs and world music. Our sound focuses on acappella harmonies, though a number of songs also feature our in-choir ukulele orchestra!”
“This concert is our way of giving back to the community and spreading the joy we feel when we come together to create music with our voices. All are welcome.”
The Five Years of Freedom Train concert starts at 6pm and finishes with a light supper provided by the choir-members. Talbarra RSL Care is located at 130-150 Old Logan Village Rd, Waterford. For more information, contact Cath by email [email protected] or phone 0405 974 561.
